Wedding season is here and we're already seeing tons of great design trends for 2018! We can't wait to share with you some of our favorites. We’re the first ones to advise against blindly following trends when it comes to something as important and as unique as your wedding day however, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t at least look to just to gain some inspiration for your own wedding day.
So, what are these trends and why are they so popular in the wedding world of 2018? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.
Balloons. It may seem that balloons either pertain to a wedding in 2001 OR to a 7-year old’s birthday party – but this year, designers showed us just how gorgeous balloons can be when incorporated in a wedding. Pastel colored, vibrant, glittery – there’s a wide range of options, and you can arrange them in amazing ways at your wedding. They’ll add a playful, sweet touch everyone will absolutely LOVE.
Escort card displays. This year, simply displaying the escort cards on a table at the entrance is not enough anymore. You need to make it a statement - and thankfully, there are plenty of ways to do this. Colorful arrangements, unique escort card shapes, pretty vintage frames – there’s a world of options out there, so don’t be afraid to get creative.
Unconventional venues. Sure, your venue is not exactly part of your wedding design, but it’s the “canvas” you will paint your wedding on. This year, more and more designers have been opting for very non-traditional wedding venues – from boxing rings to historic mansions and libraries, there’s something for every type of bride and groom who don’t want a typical wedding venue.
Remember that wedding trends are only there for inspiration. You don’t have to follow them. At the end of the day, it all comes down to one thing alone: will you still love your wedding when you look at the pictures one year, five year, ten years, and twenty years from now? Dream it and let us know, Burlap & Bordeaux would love to make your inspiration come true with our luxury wedding experience!
