When Brooke of Burlap & Bordeaux was planning her Christmas holiday throughout Europe, she stumbled upon the Schlosshotel Muenchhausen and, like most people, fell in loooove! The 1500s castle turned spa hotel is something out of a fairytale. Lush greenery, manicured grounds, incredible architecture, and simply peaceful. She knew she needed to style a shoot on the gorgeous grounds.

As many professionals know, planning a shoot in your own backyard comes with its own set of challenges, so imagine planning one in a foreign country halfway across the world! Brook overcame a plethora of obstacles to make this shoot a success. Several of the initial vendors did not pull through forcing Brooke and her team to search for a new model, hair & makeup team (being trained professionally she stepped up to this role), and bridal gown. All of this occurred during the holiday season when many creative professionals are on hiatus for the holiday season adding to the stress.

Sometimes there is a touch of magic that happens in the wedding industry and everything came together beautifully - even the sun made an appearance and the rain at bay! Unfortunately, for our model, the temperatures remained around 30 degrees. The beautiful gown from Traumkleid provided a soft and romantic element to the manicured grounds. The detailed lace and beading paired with the tulle were simply incredible! Brooke created a bouquet that was a dream! Lush greenery combined with gorgeous roses of blush and ivory. As you can see from the photos, the photographer expertly captured the whimsical, romantic vibe of the day. We hope you enjoy this shoot as much as we do!
