Dark and romantic meets elegant and vintage in this gorgeous Midnight Garden wedding inspiration at Santa Barbara’s Villa & Vine. With it’s airy sun-soaked courtyard and crawling ivy, Villa & Vine transports you to an intimate villa on the Riviera and provides a versatile space to design in.
While dreaming up a midnight garden design, we naturally thought of dark tones paired with vintage details and garden florals. A color palette of black, gold, and hints of red filled the design and was a beautiful contrast to the bright backdrop of the venue. The reception tablescape in the courtyard was cloaked in a rich black linen paired with black chiavari chairs. Detailed gold rimmed china and gold flatware lay at each place setting and was completed by a bright red tile with hand lettering by Lazy Creative Designs.
A vintage inspired candelabra with hanging crystals took the center of the table, framed by two of our floral centerpieces in beautiful elevated vases. Rich flowing greenery, pale blush roses, and an assortment of purple and red blooms added bright garden colors and texture to the tabletop. Our bride, in a stunning black lace top and white tulle skirt, carried a bouquet composed of similar garden florals in a loose, organic design.
The design was continued as we transformed the inner alcove of the courtyard into a luxurious lounge space with vintage furniture pieces by My Lovely Events displayed in front of the roaring fireplace. The mantle was adorned with flowing greenery and a gold framed mirror reflecting the beautiful chandelier hanging above the vignette.
